Camp Eumeralla is situated 35 kilometres from Geelong along the Great Ocean Road. Set in 330 hectares of beautiful natural bush, along the southern coastline of Victoria. The Camp is high up on the cliffs and spectacular views of the Ocean and the township of Anglesea can be obtained from “Westies” Seat at the top end of the camp. The track seen from this area, leading into Anglesea is part of the Surf Coast Walk and can be accessed from behind the Rangers houses. Unfortunately no access to the beach is available from the Camp. The Camp is divided into 3 zones. Zone 1 - is the adminsitration area, where the main buildings are situated. Zone 2 - is the District zone, bush campsites cleared and wooded, large and small. This zone has a site to suit everyone. Zone 3 - is wilderness area, where studying nature can occur whilst conforming to minimal impact camping procedures.
Camp Eumeralla has something to offer for everyone. The information about Eumeralla has been typed from pamphlets supplied by the Camp Warden of Eumeralla Scout Camp in 2002. I did not originally write this text, nor have I researched it, however, there have been a few adjustments made as per requests through emails received, I thank the senders for their information. To learn more about the Eumeralla Camp, please look at the links below, then visit the camp; enjoy the views, and the magnificent sceneries. |
