The Money Box

The Money Box

Another building from a Jamboree.

“The Scout Shop” from the 11th Australian Jamboree held at Dandenong, Victoria, 1977.  It was dismantled and re-erected at Eumeralla by Area Staff and Rovers during Surfmoot.

It’s now used as a base for our Scout Activities and is adjacent to the Cyril Smith Camping Area.

The name “Money Box” was coined from our dear friend “Jim Money”, the mentor of Scouting in Geelong or was it because of the large sums of money spent at the Scout Shop?
